The women of Philoptochos Society offer dedicated service to the Parish, the Community, the Diocese, the Nation and abroad. They visit the sick, assist the needy and help the Parish in many ways. In the early years of the church, the Philoptochos organization made possible, through their extraordinary efforts, donations of considerable funds for the purpose of iconography, mosaics and other church equipment, facilities and furnishings, and for the beautification of church grounds. Service is its own reward for these dedicated workers of the Lord.

Philoptochos of Clearwater is the Clearwater chapter of Philoptochos society. The efforts are oriented towards the practice of the true faith in Jesus Christ.  to aid the poor, the destitute, the hungry, the aged, the sick, the unemployed, the orphaned, the imprisoned, the widow, the handicapped, the victims of disasters, to undertake the burial of the impoverished persons and to offer assistance to anyone who may need the help of Church.

It is promoted the charitable, benevolent and philanthropic projects of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America, through instructional programs, presentations, lectures, seminars and other educational resources.

Preservation and perpetuation of the Orthodox Christian concepts and the Orthodox Christian Family are encouraged, and through them, the promotion of the Greek Orthodox Faith and traditions, in accordance with its doctrines, canons, discipline, divine worship, usages and customs; promotion.

The participation in the activities of the Greek Orthodox community, with the cooperation of the Parish Priest and the Parish Council.

The women of Philoptochos Society offer dedicated service to the Parish, the Community, the Metropolis, the Nation and abroad. They visit the sick, assist the needy and help the Parish in many ways. In the early years of the church, the Philoptochos organization made possible, through their extraordinary efforts, donations of considerable funds for the purchase of iconography, mosaics and other church equipment, facilities and furnishings for beautification of church grounds. With a widening scope of the mission of Philoptochos, men are also encouraged to become associate members.  Service is its own reward for these dedicated workers of the Lord.

The Philoptochos sponsors A SEWING MINISTRY, which meets once a month, sewing stuffed animals, lap blankets and other items to be donated to various philanthropic groups.

Philoptochos, also, supports an OUTREACH MINISTRY, which visits nursing homes, shut-ins, hospitals, etc., as well as, prepares food and serves at various homeless shelters in the area.
