Throughout history God dispatches His Holy Angels to bring us His Divine Will and purpose and to share with us the good news for our salvation. Sometimes, the Lord Himself appears in the form of Angel(s), as He did when He visited Abraham and Sarah to bring them the good news that, even though they were very advanced in age they would become the parents of a son, whom Abraham called Isaak. The story of the Lord appearing to Abraham and Sarah, found in the Book of Genesis 18&21, has been written by Orthodox Byzantine Iconographers as an authentic Icon of the Holy Trinity, and known as the PHILOXENIA (HOSPITALITY) of Abraham.

Since, therefore, our beloved Parish Family, is honored with the NAME OF THE HOLY TRINITY, it would only be appropriate to call the diakonia, established one year ago August, as an ancillary outreach of the diakonia of Philoptohos and the Parish Nurse and functions under the guidance and support of our Clergy and Parish Council, THE VISITING ANGELS OF HOLY TRINITY.

Q. WHO ARE THE VISITING ANGELS OF HOLY TRINITY?

A. They are a group of dedicated faithful volunteers who have set out to translate the Gospel Lesson of Matthew 25:31-46 into action:

• …to visit Parish Family members, who are shut-ins at home or in nursing facilities, and bring the love of God and the love of our Parish to them.
• …to administer special needs of terminally ill parishioners without families and stand by them until they fall asleep in the Lord.
• …to deliver or prepare meals of sustenance for parishioners unable to provide for themselves.
• …to assist the lonely and forgotten in rediscovering the value of belonging to the Body of Christ, the Church Family.

Q. HOW CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND BE PART OF THIS NOBLE ENDEAVOR?
Volunteer your time and assistance.
Resolve to pray for and assist those in our Parish Family who are in need of a kind act.

SPECIAL ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: As a member of the Holy Trinity Parish Family you would to be proud to know that one of our young couples has joined THE VISITING ANGELS OF HOLY TRINITY. We encourage other young couples to emulate their example.

The exciting news this year is that our GOYA has joined THE VISITING ANGELS and has committed to visiting our Parishioners of need on their Birthdays and on Major Holy Days. What a powerful way of injecting a life-changing dose of cheer and youthful agape to someone starving for both!

If you come across young John Aloizakis, Yianni Kololakis and Andreas Lagos thank them for delivering meals, last year, to one of our parishioners.

Last, but by no means least, seek out one of these Sundays NIKKI COUMBIS, our MOST COMPASSIONATE AND RESOURCEFUL PARISH NURSE, who does not leave any stones unturned until our parishioners in need receive adequate help.
