Meals at Matheos takes place every Thursday, October through March, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The 2008-2009 Meals at Matheos begin Thursday, October 23. It is a family night of fun and fellowship, serving Greek-American food.
The Meals at Matheos ministry was established December 11, 2001, by Bill Mihalopoulos, Bill Catsikopoulos, Jim Mavres, Mary Prinos, and the late Dee Staats. Meals started January 31, 2002, and the program continues every year from the beginning of October to mid-April.
Over the years, catering has been provided by:
- Gus Sisois Bayside Catering Service (2002-2005)
- Two Brothers and a Friend Catering Service (2005-present)
The chairman of the event is Bill Mihalopoulos, with the guidance of Fr. James Rousakis and the help of church member volunteers.
