Fr. Peter Andronache

Fr. Peter was born on October 24, 1977, in Bacau, Romania. After the fall of communism, his family followed his father's work to Nigeria where he lived for two and a half years. In 1995 he came to the U.S. to attend Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX graduating with a B.S. in mathematics and computer science, and a minor in music. While at Midwestern he became interested in learning about Orthodoxy, in which he had been baptized. Fr. Peter then pursued graduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he received an M.S.C.S.E. and a Ph.D. At Notre Dame, he met his wife, Presvytera Magda, and continued to study Orthodoxy, eventually leading to his enrollment at Holy Cross Graduate School of Theology in Brookline, MA. Fr. had been ordained a deacon a year before graduating from Holy Cross as the valedictorian of the class of 2007. On June 29th 2007, the feast day of Sts. Peter (Petros) and Paul, he was ordained a priest by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios at the Church of St. Paul in Savannah, GA.

On Friday, September 26, 2008, Fr. Peter and Pres. Magda were blessed with the birth of a baby boy, Theodore Gregory.

Fr. Peter enjoys music, and is especially partial to opera and choral music. He also enjoys watching sports, and playing basketball, soccer, table tennis, track, and volleyball. He and his presbytera look forward to serving the parish of Holy Trinity.
